Pumpkins

Wood crafts have been heavily on my mind lately. So I would like to show you this large project that I am happy to say I completed to the end!
Recruited some awesome help from sis Tara and friend Meghan... Got some cherry landscape timber and went to work.
Started the project last week and got finished last night. Here are my little beauties ready to be given away to friends and family....
Really the project could be completed in one day. Didn't really know what to expect since it was my first time cutting wood, sanding and all that's involved. But with good preparation it could be done in just a day.

Boise State

The BSU football season kicked off this past monday. What a great win! We are BIG fans. Here is something I made to show off our Bronco spirit in our home...
Its a grocery bag holder if you cant tell! All those annoying bags get stuffed inside out of site. And they are easy to grab when in need of one for your misc. household needs. Mainly poopy diapers around here :)

another frame redo...

Got overly excited for this project and took apart the frames before I had a pic.
These were inside two bigger frames i bought...
I wanted to use this.... but frame was broken. So I bought another one to switch it to. But I had to paint it.

Here it is getting a nice spray...
And their you have it...

And a close up to see the detail...

Gorgeous :) And only $6. Frames found at thift store.

Frame redo...

I went to the thrift store to look for a frame....Found this one...

Painted it black
Covered the cardboard with white fabric...

Added this little gem...

And viola! I am extremely happy with how it turned out. And total project only cost me a whopping...$2!!

Spray paint I had left over from other projects. Fabric I had left over. Frame 50cents, and picture $1.50 Sweet huh!
Now what to put in the bare part next to it. I dont know yet...any ideas??

The picture was a free download from Leanne ...Seriously you should download them. I did...all of them. They are adorable. I am already itching to do another project with them.

Necklaces

My sisters and I got crafty today and decided to make necklaces.

Here are some supplies...

Combined them...

We both could not find the crafting wire we both thought we had. I refused to go back to Joanns. So we had to brainstorm and came up with this solution...
We just took the rubber off paper clips and used them to go though the beads...worked perfect...

And there you go...

Easy peasy.

Headbands

Here are some fabric flower headbands I have made.

Zipper one...

Hair clip...

Frames

Bought these frames at the thrift store for super cheap. Painted them white, along with the red mirror. And took out the mirror from the biggest frame...

I like how it looks. And when I find more fun frames I can add to it.

Ice Tray??

I found this puzzle shaped mold at the D.I. the other day. I knew I wanted to melt crayons in them. Today I tried it out. And as I was putting the broken pieced into the molds, I realized it was an ice tray not something for baking as I had thought. So I was worried it would just all melt in the toaster oven but I still tried. And it worked. Although one broke from my lack of patience, they look cute.

Owl

I made this little owl awhile back. I loved how it turned out. Now I just need to get busy and make some more!

Mirror in progress

Found this lovely mirror at the thrift store ($8)... Took it apart...cleaned it...

Primed it...

Painted it...

Now... I dont like the color... I think I want to make it white and distress it. I will update when I get that done.

Skirt & Leggings

While I was watching my niece and nephew my niece Maleena had a blow out. Well she didnt have a change of clothes, only a white under shirt. Well I knew she needed something to wear so I quickly made her a skirt and leggings... This is the first skirt I have made. I thought it turned out pretty cute.
